(Leviticus 18:21 NASB) 'Neither shall you give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD. (Deuteronomy 20:2 NASB) "Now it shall come about that when you are approaching the battle, the priest shall come near and speak to the people.	(Deuteronomy 20:2 KJV) And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,	(Deuteronomy 20:2 NIV) When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army.
(Deuteronomy 20:3 NASB) "And he shall say to them, 'Hear, O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today. Do not be fainthearted. Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them,	(Deuteronomy 20:3 KJV) And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;	(Deuteronomy 20:3 NIV) He shall say: "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them.
(Deuteronomy 20:4 NASB) for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.' Solomon held fast to these in love. Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love.

(1 Kings 11:7 NIV) On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the Ammonites.

They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me, as food for them.
(Ezekiel 23:38 NASB) "Again, they have done this to Me: they have defiled My sanctuary on the same day and have profaned My sabbaths.	(Ezekiel 23:38 KJV) Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths. (Jeremiah 7:11 NIV) Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the LORD.
(Jeremiah 19:4 NASB) "Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent	(Jeremiah 19:4 KJV) Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;	(Jeremiah 19:4 NIV) For they have forsaken me and made this a place of foreign gods; they have burned sacrifices in it to gods that neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah ever knew, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.
(Jeremiah 19:5 NASB) and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;	(Jeremiah 19:5 KJV) They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:	(Jeremiah 19:5 NIV) They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal--something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.
(Jeremiah 19:6 NASB) therefore, behold, days are coming, "declares the LORD," when this place will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-hinnom, but rather the valley of Slaughter.	(Jeremiah 19:6 KJV) Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.	(Jeremiah 19:6 NIV) So beware, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when people will no longer call this place Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
(Jeremiah 19:7 NASB) "And I shall make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and I shall cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life; and I shall give over their carcasses as food for the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth.
